wasted a TON of time and money with trial and error trying to correct a problem that honestly just seems like it wasn't thought out. It leaks oil constantly, and the only real solution is to put a plug in there and remove the starter every time you need to check the oil, or buy an entirely new oil pan that has the dipstick hole in the pan, and plug the block for good. I had been using the stock crossmember slid backwards, but it was difficult to install/remove and I wanted clearance for my exhaust, and it held the back of the trans up too high. F body, truck, flexible, shorty, none of the dipsticks work. I installed a GForce crossmember in my ‘72 to hold up my 2004r. I've spent easily $200 on 6 different types of dip sticks. the main issue being that the adapter plate brings the starter so far towards the block that it's impossible to find a dipstick that fits in a truck block. Major issue I have is that this kit REQUIRES buying a new starter (a chevy small block style universal starter. I like that you can use factory nissan clutches, makes the headache of finding a good clutch setup easier. G-Force has grouped the transmissions together that can share the same crossmember. Trying to find the right shims for the starter can be a pain. Since different transmissions can share the same overall lengths as well as other measurements, they can also share some transmission crossmembers.
